Uncle George Whitlow- Veteran USAF TSgt E-6
Born to train
Born to train- the Air Force way. There is my way, your way, the right way, and the Air Force way.

The goal of Whitlow Smoke Schools is to teach you to let reading opacity become second nature. When you see your neighbor's house on fire, you look up and say that is 90% beyond a doubt.
Tell you how to do it:
pre-test lecture on fundamentals
who, what, how, where, when, why
we give precise instructions
Show you how to do it and let you do it with supervision:
Review of standards- 25%, 50%, and 75%
Practice makes perfect- choosing the best opacity value
Watch you do it:
We do not use enclosed smoke machines. We watch you take the practice test and make sure you understand and use the correct fundamentals. Fundamentals are everything, just like football.
Let you do it without supervision:
Take what you learn from smoke school and use it in the field to document compliance with EPA visible emissions evaluation. We know that what we teach you is important and that we must be able to make sure you can do your job correctly for 6 months until you come back for additional learning, practice, and evaluation. You can always call us for advice.
